Samsung Innovation Campus certifies 2,000 Bengaluru students in AI and coding skills
Samsung Innovation Campus has certified around 2,000 students in Bengaluru as part of its skilling initiative focused on emerging technologies. Of these, 1,100 students completed training in Artificial Intelligence, while 900 were certified in Coding and Programming.

The certification ceremony was held at the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bengaluru, and was attended by representatives from the Karnataka government, academia, the Electronics Sector Skills Council of India, and Samsung India.

The Bengaluru cohort received hands-on training aligned with current industry requirements, with an emphasis on practical application rather than purely academic learning. Alongside technical skills, the programme also included basic soft-skills training aimed at improving employability.

Samsung Innovation Campus is currently active across 10 states in India and works in collaboration with the Electronics Sector Skills Council of India through accredited training partners. Since its launch in India in 2022, the initiative has focused on expanding access to technology education, particularly in semi-urban and underserved regions.

According to Samsung, women account for about 45 percent of total participation at a national level. The company stated that the programme also provides placement-related support to help students transition into the workforce.

Samsung representatives said the initiative is part of its broader skilling efforts in India, alongside programmes such as Samsung Solve for Tomorrow and Samsung DOST. The company indicated plans to continue expanding its training initiatives in Karnataka as part of its wider goal to train 20,000 students in future-facing technologies.

Karnataka government officials present at the event highlighted the importance of industry-led skilling programmes in aligning academic learning with evolving job market needs, particularly in technology-driven sectors.
