In Uttarakhand, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami’s ambitious initiative ‘People’s Government, People’s Door’ program is setting a new standard of good governance and quick service delivery in the state. This program has proven effective in taking the government directly to the doorsteps of the people and ensuring immediate solutions to their problems.

A total of 581 camps have been organized so far in all 13 districts of the state, where 4,59,719 citizens participated and availed the benefits of various government schemes and services. Today 3,929 people participated in the camps organized at 7 new locations.

Remarkable progress in grievance redressal

Through these camps, concrete steps have been taken towards quick resolution of public problems. A total of 44,602 complaints and applications have been received so far, out of which disposal of 30,509 complaints has been completed. This figure demonstrates the sensitivity and efficiency of the administration.

65,092 applications were accepted for various types of certificates for providing door-to-door services to the citizens in the camps. This has freed the common man from the trouble of visiting government offices.

More than 2.55 lakh people benefited from the schemes

In a significant achievement towards inclusive growth, more than 2,55,563 individuals were directly benefited from various government schemes. These numbers reflect the broad reach and effectiveness of the program.

District wise data shows that enthusiastic participation in this program has been seen in other hill and plain districts including Haridwar, Udham Singh Nagar, Dehradun, Almora, Pauri and Pithoragarh. The participation of 1,00,911 citizens, especially in Haridwar district, clearly explains the popularity of this initiative.

Disposal instructions on priority basis

Chief Minister Dhami has given clear instructions to the officials that the complaints and applications received in the camps should be disposed of on priority basis. He believes that this will further strengthen public trust in the government and establish a transparent governance system.

This program is not only ensuring prompt delivery of services but also reducing the distance between the administration and the public. Providing benefits of government schemes and facilities to citizens sitting at home is a strong initiative of good governance.
