The T20 World Cup 2026 tournament begins in Colombo with cricket matches that will continue throughout the event. The Pakistan team and their management will create complete chaos through their actions. The Pakistan government prohibited its team from playing in the February 15 match against India just two days before the tournament began. The Pakistani players will not come to the field for the toss while the Indian players will continue with their arrival. The ICC helps India to ‘bully’ Pakistan and other cricket nations according to Pakistan.
Najam Sethi the former Pakistan Cricket Board chairman supported his governments decision to prevent Pakistan from playing against India in their T20 World Cup group match. He accused the Board of Control for Cricket in India of “bullying” Pakistan through their actions while Pakistan used this decision to “settle the score” against India.
Sunil Gavaskar an Indian cricket legend lost his temper when he heard people making negative remarks about the Indian team which has helped cricket gain worldwide recognition. The question we need to answer does not get asked because Indians have not asked it according to Daler Mehndi who spoke about Pakistan needing Indian invitations yet has not seen Indian singers or film stars go to Pakistan for work since the two countries established diplomatic ties. The Indian legend spoke on India Today about his statement.
Gavaskar remembered that India and Pakistan used to play each other more frequently during their ‘easier times while several IPL teams started bringing in players from Pakistan. Gavas
“We have already. We started in 2008. The Pakistanis played in the IPL since 2008. All teams in the league have used Pakistani athletes during their matches. The IPL broadcasted matches with Pakistani commentators who worked for the league,” said Gavaskar.
“We are not. Show me specific instances. People use bullying as an accusation because it requires no evidence. Everything is out there before the first ball of the tournament is bowled. Before the Champions Trophy, India made a public announcement which stated their intention to avoid traveling to Pakistan. All their matches were played in Dubai because that was the known schedule before the tournament started,” said Gavaskar.
Gavaskar responded to Najam Sethi’s accusation of ‘bullying’ by stating that Pakistan must confront India when the team faces bullying treatment.
“Bullying remains invisible to me. The use of bullying as an excuse makes your excuses more valid, but I cannot understand its origins. The best way to deal with a bully situation requires you to face the bully directly,” he added.
