Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh — In a significant leadership transition for medical education in North India, Rhitik Jassar has been appointed Chairman of DJ Group of Institutions and its parent body, the Jassar Dental Medical Education Health Foundation (JDMEHF). The appointment comes at a pivotal moment as the group embarks on its flagship DJ Medicity project—one of the largest integrated healthcare and education developments in the Delhi NCR region.

The elevation marks the continuation of the Jassar family’s nearly three-decade commitment to building accessible, high-quality healthcare education in western Uttar Pradesh. JDMEHF was established in 1997 by Ajit Singh Jassar, the foundation's future plans include expanding its role as a leading multidisciplinary education hub, fostering confidence and hope among community members and investors.

The transition coincides with the development of DJ Medicity, an integrated healthcare complex with a proposed built-up area of approximately 1 million square feet and a Phase-1 hospital capacity of 1,100 beds. The project is envisioned as a fully integrated ecosystem comprising hospitals, hostels, academic institutions, research facilities, and supporting infrastructure. Designed to bring education, clinical care, and research under one umbrella, DJ Medicity aims to set a new benchmark for medical education infrastructure in northern India.

Over the past eight years, Rhitik Jassar has built a reputation for executing complex, capital- intensive projects in a traditionally risk-averse sector. Under his leadership, JDMEHF achieved net debt-free status by repaying ₹215 crores, while simultaneously expanding institutional capacity. He has also led the raising of ₹300 crores from leading financial institutions including Bank of Baroda, HDFC Bank, and Tata Capital to fund the DJ Medicity project. Through disciplined financial structuring and lender engagement, the foundation reduced its average cost of credit to approximately 7.25%, a notable achievement in the education and healthcare sector.

Rhitik Jassar brings a multidisciplinary background spanning law, finance, project execution, and dealing with large government projects. liaison. He holds academic credentials from SOAS, University of London and Ambedkar University, Delhi.

Jassar has also undertaken specialised training in healthcare management through the Indian School of Business (ISB).

Beyond JDMEHF, Rhitik Jassar has led multiple ventures. As Founder & CEO of ZTA Edu Ventures, he achieved first-year revenues of over $140,000 and secured a $500,000 fundraising round. In his role as Director – Finance & Compliance at ZTA Infratech, he successfully reduced the company’s debt from ₹55 crores to zero within 18 months, even during the COVID-19 lockdown period, through internal accruals and strategic asset divestments. He has also overseen the construction and delivery of The Grande, a multi-storey residential development with a built-up area of approximately 1 million square feet.

Within the DJ Group, Rhitik Jassar has played a central role in institutional modernisation, including the state government clearance of the DJ medical college, large-scale redevelopment of existing colleges, and modernisation of hostel infrastructure across a 75-acre campus. These initiatives have expanded residential capacity to over 1,650 students and introduced advanced academic facilities including simulation labs, modern lecture theatres, and specialised clinical spaces.

JDMEHF currently operates five specialised colleges offering programmes in dental sciences, Ayurvedic medicine, pharmacy, nursing, and paramedical sciences. The foundation’s forward roadmap includes the launch of new institutions in medical sciences (MBBS, MD, MS), law (LLB, LLM), and business education (MBA, BBA), positioning the group as a multidisciplinary education hub.
