Think of names synonymous with the Super Bowl, and an exclusive list of individuals stand out. Iconic coach Vince Lombardi, after whom the trophy is named, and Tom Brady are each up there, along with American football legend George Halas, one of only three players to win eight championships.

However, Bill Belichick is arguably the most famous name in many Super Bowl discussions after he led the New England Patriots to six Super Bowl wins in the space of 18 seasons. But ahead of Sunday's showdown between his former Pats and the Seattle Seahawks, it's his personal life that is more fervently debated in the media. That's because the 73-year-old is currently dating Jordon Hudson, a beauty pageant contestant and cheerleader who is almost half a century younger than her partner. Hudson, 24, and Belichick went public with their relationship in December 2024 (though it's understood the relationship began in 2023), and it's been a hot topic of conversation in NFL circles ever since.

To put the gulf in age into context, Belichick had already won his first Super Bowl as a head coach by the time Hudson was born in April 2001. What's more, Belichick has three children, the youngest of whom is 37, more than a decade older than Hudson.

By all appearances, the union appears a strong one. Hudson even became a prominent member of Belichick's public relations team when he took over as head coach of the North Carolina Tar Heels last year and appears willing to go to bat on behalf of her (much) more senior beau.

This was on display in the past week when it emerged Belichick would not be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame as expected this year. The veteran coach was widely anticipated to be part of the Class of 2026 yet was nowhere to be seen on the list of new additions.

In response to the snub, Hudson uploaded an image to Instagram showing her order of three iron-on Hall of Fame patches had been unexpectedly cancelled. The screenshot showed part of an email that stated the order was "cancelled because of unforeseen circumstances and your payment has not yet been refunded."

Her caption showed more than a hint of frustration as she wrote alongside the post: "Hey @profootballhof, what were the 'unforeseen circumstances'?" She included a crying-with-laughter emoji in the address, even if she may not have found the situation all that funny.

In addition to his six Super Bowl championships as head coach of New England, Belichick also won two more rings as assistant coach with the New York Giants in 1987 and 1991. Despite his Hall of Fame snub, the tactical icon is widely expected to be in San Francisco this weekend as the Patriots hope to get their hands on the title for the first time since he left.

And that means Hudson is also likely to make an appearance alongside her man at Levi's Stadium. Travis Kelce's fiancee, Taylor Swift, has been the NFL girlfriend attracting the most attention in recent years, but there may just be a new touchline focus in town.

The New York Times reported in August 2025 that Hudson had filed to trademark the term 'gold digger' through her rights management company, intended to produce jewellery mocking the accusations against her. So while she may be young, it's evident the former Bridgewater State University student is willing to rise above any allegations she's with Bill for his money.

As of early 2026, Belichick is estimated to have a net worth of around £51million. He's currently earning around £7m a year to coach North Carolina, though his first term was a major disappointment after the team went 4-8 and finished close to the bottom of the Atlantic Coast Conference.
