In the case of the swing accident that took place on February 7 in the Surajkund fair complex, the police took strict action and arrested two accused associated with the swing operator company. Haryana Police Inspector Jagdish Prasad was martyred while saving the injured in this tragic accident.

According to the police, a case has been registered under sections of culpable homicide against Mohammad Shakir, proprietor of Himachal Fun Care Company of Himachal Pradesh, in Surajkund police station. During investigation, police arrested Mohammad Shakir resident of village Toka Nangla, district Sirmaur (Himachal Pradesh) and another accused Nitish resident of Dharmapuri Sadar, Meerut Cantt (Uttar Pradesh). The police are also thoroughly investigating the role of other possible accused.

Considering the seriousness of the case, on the instructions of Police Commissioner Satendra Kumar Gupta, a three-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner of Police Crime. SIT is investigating the accident from every aspect on the basis of scientific and technical facts.

On the other hand, after the post-mortem of martyr Inspector Jagdish Prasad, his body was handed over to his family members. During this, Director General of Police Ajay Singhal and Police Commissioner Satendra Kumar Gupta reached Civil Hospital Faridabad and met the family members of the martyr and consoled them.

Director General of Police Ajay Singhal said that Inspector Jagdish Prasad sacrificed his life to save the lives of the injured while performing duty. The police department is proud of his sacrifice. He assured that under the compassionate policy of the department, all possible financial assistance will be provided to the martyr’s family and the eligible member will be provided a government job.

A total of 12 people were injured in this accident, which includes policemen and civilians. The condition of all the injured is said to be stable, while five injured have been discharged from the hospital after treatment. The Director General of Police also met the injured admitted in Civil Hospital Faridabad and Supreme Hospital and inquired about their well being.
