However, land acquisition has emerged as a major challenge since the beginning of the project. For this expressway, more than 502 hectares of land is to be acquired in Agra, Dholpur of Rajasthan, Morena and Gwalior districts of Madhya Pradesh.
Despite compensation distribution in Morena district, many farmers are still cultivating the land, leading to protests during physical occupation. Whereas in Dholpur, farmers allege that they did not get adequate compensation for their land, due to which there is dissatisfaction.
