News India Live, Digital Desk: Amidst the ongoing suspense regarding the great T20 World Cup match between India and Pakistan (February 15, Colombo), Mohsin Naqvi-led PCB has made a new move. In the marathon meeting held with the officials of ICC and Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) in Lahore, Pakistan has put forward 3 such conditions which have put ICC in a dilemma. In fact, after the decision of Pakistan government to boycott the match against India, PCB has now come into ‘negotiation’ mode. 3 new and big demands of PCB. According to sources, Mohsin Naqvi presented his side in front of ICC delegation. These are the key conditions put in place:Hosting Rights: Pakistan has sought guarantee of hosting rights for future major ICC tournaments (e.g. a global event in 2028-29). Compensation for Bangladesh: Since Pakistan is doing this boycott to show ‘solidarity with Bangladesh’, they have demanded that the Bangladesh Board, which has been kicked out of the tournament, be given huge financial compensation and participation fee. Increase in revenue sharing: PCB argues that ICC earns the most from India-Pak matches, hence Pakistan’s annual revenue share should be increased. Risk of Rs 40 billion and ‘Force Majeure’ ICC has given a stern warning to PCB that if they do not play matches against India without any solid reason (Force Majeure), they may face heavy financial penalty. Big loss: The annual fund received by Pakistan (approx. 40 billion Pakistani rupees) may be put on hold.Possible ban: Pakistan may have to lose hosting of future ICC events.Shehbaz Sharif’s final decision today!Amidst all this turmoil, PCB Chief Mohsin Naqvi will meet Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif today. Only after this ‘briefing’ it will be clear whether Pakistan will take the field with a ‘U-turn’ or will remain adamant on its boycott. Will the matter be resolved? Experts believe that these new demands of PCB are actually a way to save its image and get maximum concessions from ICC. If ICC takes a soft stance on compensating Bangladesh and future hosting, Mohsin Naqvi may give ‘green signal’ for match against India
