Jamaat is leading an alliance of 11 parties which also includes the newly formed National Citizen Party (NCP). The National Citizen Party, formed in February 2025, is the most interesting aspect of this election. Naheed Islam, the face of the 2024 student movement, is the main leader of this party. It is a contingent of mainly students and youth that has joined hands with the Jamaat-e-Islami-led alliance. Experts believe that this party, led by Naheed Islam, will become the ‘kingmaker’ Can play a role as a large number of young voters are associated with them.

Apart from this, the Jatiya Party established by former military ruler Ershad is also making its presence felt, although after the death of Ershad, it has become weaker than before.
