The star all-rounder Glenn Phillips once again demonstrated his excellent skills as a fielder in the T20 World Cup 2026 match between New Zealand and the UAE. This match is being played on Tuesday, the 10th of February, in Chennai.

The UAE won the toss and elected to bat first. They provided good company for the Kiwis by successfully accomplishing a challenging 173/6 in 20 overs. On the last ball of the 11th over, Glenn Phillips made an incredible dive from out of nowhere to snatch a certain boundary.

Mitchell Santner sent a short ball, and Muhammad Waseem was moving across to pull the short ball in front of square. It was as if he had spotted the gap, and the ball was going to reach there pretty quickly. Phillips not only covers ground but also dives well to take the catch at deep square leg from the deep midwicket region. He got up very quickly, caught the ball, and threw it back to the wicket-keeper.

In the last match against Afghanistan, he played an excellent knock which saw his team run chase of 183 runs in just 17.5 overs while retaining five wickets.

The right-hander smashed a quick 42 from mere 25 balls after New Zealand were in early trouble at 14/2, having lost Finn Allen and Rachin Ravindra.
