Often people eat heavy or unhealthy breakfast due to lack of time, but cheela made from semolina (Rava) is not only easy to digest, but is also a good source of protein and fiber. You can serve it in children’s tiffin or prepare it instantly for office. Ingredients for making Semolina Cheela (Ingredients) Semolina: 1 cup (any fine or thick) Curd: ½ cup (fresh and slightly sour) Vegetables: Finely chopped onion, tomato, capsicum, and carrot (as per your choice) Green chilli and ginger: Finely chopped Coriander: Chopped Spices: Salt (as per taste), black pepper powder, and half teaspoon Oil/Ghee: For frying Water: To prepare the batter Method of preparation: Step-by-step (Method) Prepare the batter: Mix semolina and curd well in a large vessel. Prepare a thick batter by adding water little by little. Keep in mind that the solution should neither be too thin nor too thick. Resting Time: Semolina absorbs water, so cover the solution and leave it for 10-15 minutes. This will make the chiles soft and meshy.Vegetables and spices: Now add all the chopped vegetables, ginger, chilli, green coriander and spices to this solution and mix well. If the batter seems too thick, add some more water. Bake the cheela: Heat a non-stick pan and apply some oil on it. Now pour a tablespoon of batter in the middle of the pan and spread it slowly in a round shape. Make Crispy: Cook the cheela on medium flame until its edges start turning golden. Pour some oil on the edges and turn the cheela. Fry from the other side also till it becomes light brown. Special Tip (Pro Tip): To make the cheela even more healthy, you can also add grated cheese or oats to it. Serve it with hot mint chutney or tomato ketchup.
