Naukri Nama | February 12, 2026 2:40 PM CST

In a bid to enhance transparency during the UP Board High School and Intermediate examinations, the Board Secretary has released comprehensive guidelines. These directives cover various aspects such as exam center setups, attendance protocols, answer sheet regulations, and provisions for late arrivals. Notably, students who arrive up to 30 minutes late will be permitted to take the exam with the approval of the center administrator. The guidelines also delineate the roles of center administrators and invigilators.

Late Arrival Policy

As per the instructions from Prayagraj, candidates who arrive within 30 minutes of the exam start time may be allowed entry by the center administrator. However, those arriving later than this window will not be permitted to sit for the exam under any circumstances.

Answer Sheet and Attendance Regulations

Answer Sheets and Attendance Rules

The Board has established stringent rules regarding answer sheets. Each student is required to write their roll number on the attendance sheet. It is the invigilator's duty to ensure compliance with this rule. Furthermore, invigilators must ensure that candidates write their serial number and answer sheet number on every page of their answer sheets.

Examination Schedule

Exam Date and Time

The High School and Intermediate examinations are scheduled to take place from February 18 to March 12. Each paper will have a duration of 3 hours and 15 minutes, with the first 15 minutes allocated exclusively for reading the question paper. Additionally, candidates with disabilities and visual impairments will receive an extra 20 minutes per hour beyond the standard time.

Staffing and Security Measures

Recruitment of External Staff and Security Arrangements

At least 50% of the personnel at each examination center will be sourced from other educational institutions. This includes self-financed schools, which will also recruit half of their staff from government and non-government secondary schools. The District School Inspector will oversee the opening or closing of the cabinet containing reserved question papers, ensuring confidentiality and fairness throughout the examination process.
