M6 traffic: Crash involving car and van sparks 4 miles of queues and severe delays

Drivers on a busy section of the M6 are facing traffic chaos after a crash involving a car and a van. There are long queues following the collision on the southbound area of the major motorway between Junction 13 and Junction 12.
One of four lanes is closed, with recovery services on the way to the scene, and drivers are warned of 40-minute delays and four miles of traffic.
