The CBSE board exams for grades 10 and 12 are just around the corner. This year, the CBSE will conduct the Secondary and Senior Secondary Board Exams 2026 from February 17 to April 10 for students from over 31,000 affiliated schools in India and 26 countries abroad. More than 8,074 exam centers have been set up in India and abroad. Approximately 4.6 million students are expected to appear for the exams. Students have begun preparing for the CBSE Board Exams 2026. Students taking the exams this year should be aware of the exam rules, including the dress code.

CBSE has established a dress code to maintain discipline and transparency during the exams. According to the rules, every student must come to school in their school uniform. According to the CBSE Board Exam 2026 dress code, regular students appearing for CBSE Class 10 and 12 exams must wear their full school uniform.

Girls must also come in their school uniform. Do not wear jewelry such as large earrings, anklets, bracelets, or necklaces. They must wear shoes that match their school uniform.

Remember that students who arrive for exams in their school uniform may be barred from taking the exam. Therefore, attend the exam in their school uniform. Bring your admit card with you. Arrive at the exam center on time. Late arrival will not be permitted.

Class 10 board exams will now be held twice a year.
According to the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, Class 10 board exams will now be held twice a year. This system will provide students with a second chance to improve their scores or clear any failed subjects. Under this scheme, any student can appear for improvement in a maximum of three subjects in the second examination to be held from May 15 to June 1, 2026.
