DMRC Luggage Rules: The Delhi Metro is called the heart of Delhi because traveling on the metro is easy, safe, and comfortable. Traveling on the metro also saves time. Now, the Delhi Metro reaches every corner of Delhi-NCR. Whether it's the interstate bus terminal, the airport, or the railway station, the metro is accessible. People often use the Delhi Metro to reach the airport or railway station on time. However, it's crucial to check the weight and size of your luggage before traveling on the Delhi Metro (DMRC). Violating these rules can result in being barred from entering the station.

What are the DMRC Luggage Rules?
It's crucial to be mindful of the weight and size of luggage while carrying it on the Delhi Metro. The Delhi Metro has established rules for this. Violating these rules can result in being barred from entering the station.

Metro Luggage Rules on Regular Metro Lines
If you are traveling on the Red, Yellow, Blue, or any other regular line, only one bag is allowed per passenger, with a maximum weight of 25 kg. Furthermore, the bag size should not exceed 80 cm (length) x 50 cm (width) x 30 cm (height).

Airport Express Line Metro Luggage Rules (Orange Line)
The rules are slightly relaxed for passengers traveling to the airport. A maximum of 32 kg is allowed per passenger on the Airport Line, with a maximum of two bags. Furthermore, the bag size should not exceed 90 cm x 75 cm x 45 cm.

According to the DMRC, luggage must only be carried in bags or suitcases on the metro. Bundles or open bundles are not permitted. DMRC Baggage Scanners located at station entry gates are equipped with steel gauges. If your luggage is larger than the prescribed size, it will not pass through the scanner, and you will not be allowed entry.
