If you've been to the beach in Benidorm before you will have no doubt spotted a small uninhabited island a short distance into the Mediterranean Sea known as Benidorm Island, but still commonly referred to by its original name, Peacock Island.
Social media's Frank the Stag Man, who provides bespoke hen and stag do packages in the Spanish resort, took to TikTok alongside his partner, Jade Benidorm, and revealed all about the unusual location. "I call it 'Bird Poop Island' because there are no peacocks on it, it's just covered in bird poo," Jade said.
Situated around 3km off the Costa Blanca coast, she noted that anyone who thinks they can swim in it easily is in for a shock. She said: "It looks about 50m away and I know people have tried [to swim there], but they ended up being rescued by the lifeboats."

Frank asked: "Is there any other interesting facts you'd like to tell us about this amazing but quite useless Peacock Island?"
Jade advised there's a tourist boat carries visitors there with a "submarine bottom" allowing them half-day excursions.
"There's a cafe on it that's probably going to be over-charging for a coffee in the middle of nowhere," she joked. However, Jade added the island's one saving grace is that dolphins can occasionally be seen swimming around it.
Writing in response, one past Peacock Island visitor praised: "I loved it, got a boat out then you go in a glass bottom boat that takes you round.
"You see loads different fish, come off, chill with a few cold beers and if brave you can try and walk round, but seagulls will have you so don't bother. And some great views."
Benidorm's tourism website says of the island: "Myths and realities, legends and history, past and present… Benidorm Island has a unique charm that captivates both locals and tourists.
"As a true icon of the city, its silhouette appears in numerous logos and emblems, making it one of Benidorm’s most recognisable landmarks."
It adds: "A haven for divers and fishermen, Benidorm Island is an underwater observatory teeming with marine flora and fauna, attracting hundreds of visitors each year."
Meanwhile, Frank and Jade also showcased Benidorm's new "mini-strip", which the former said is a walkway "running from [his] Stagman Steak House all the way down to Tiki Beach" with the famous Miller's Sports Bar, a tattoo parlour and the Stagman Sports Bar and Grill en route.
"That is pretty much an entire day and night of partying," Jade declared.
Frank responded: "It most definitely is. You've got your pool tables, your sports, food and snacks, your tattoos and you've got beer, cocktails and drinks. Everything you need - it's all there."
