Lucknow Metro QR Ticket Service: To travel by metro, Lucknow passengers will no longer need to stand in line at the station counter to purchase tickets. To enhance passenger convenience, the Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC) is launching the QR ticketing service on the Lucknow Metro from today, February 16th. Passengers will now be able to book their metro tickets digitally from the comfort of their homes using a mobile app.
Tickets will be available as digital QR codes (Digital QR Code Tickets in Lucknow Metro)
Under the new system, passengers will be able to book QR tickets through the UPMRC's official mobile app, ticket vending machines (TVMs), or ticket counters. Tickets purchased through the mobile app will be stored on your phone as a digital QR code, while paper QR tickets can be obtained from the station's ticket counter or TVM machine. Passengers with QR tickets will be able to enter and exit the metro station by scanning their QR code at the yellow-stickered AFC gates. Note that scanning the QR ticket at the AFC gates will be required for both entry and exit.
QR-enabled ticket vending machines at all stations
Lucknow Metro is installing QR-enabled ticket vending machines at all stations. Each station will have at least one QR vending machine and one QR-enabled ticket counter. Passengers will also be able to make payments using UPI through these machines. Additionally, these QR vending machines will be equipped with special QR support stickers to make them easier for passengers to identify.
