UPSC CAPF AC Vacancy 2026: Registration begins for UPSC Assistant Commandant posts, recruitment for more than 300 posts..

The Union Public Service Commission has released an official notification for recruitment to the post of Assistant Commandant in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF). Candidates preparing for the UPSC CAPF AC 2026 exam can now apply online by visiting the UPSC's official website. The application window for these positions has been activated. Applications will be accepted from eligible and interested candidates until March 12, 2026.

Eligibility Criteria for Applying
The age of candidates will be calculated as of August 1, 2026.
The minimum age of candidates must not exceed 20 years, and the maximum age must not exceed 25 years. Age relaxation will also be available for reserved category candidates.
According to the notification, SC and ST candidates will be given a five-year age relaxation, and OBC candidates will be given a three-year age relaxation.
To apply for these positions, candidates must have completed graduation from a recognized institution in India.

How will the selection be conducted?
Candidates will be selected based on a written examination, PET, and PST. The written examination will consist of two papers: Paper 1, consisting of 250 questions, and Paper 2, consisting of 200 questions. The written examination will be held on July 19, 2026. Paper 1 will be conducted from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and Paper 2 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Candidates who qualify will be called for the PET and PST tests.
