Princess Eugenie "braced herself" during a quick coffee run in London's Notting Hill alongside her husband Jack Brooksbank, a body language expert has said. The Princess of York was pictured in London for the first time since her father, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, was arrested.
The 12th in line to the throne was dressed down in leggings, a jacket, and a baseball hat as she purchased a coffee from Hagen Espresso Bar in Notting Hill. Body language expert, Judi James said: "This is a decidedly un-royal body language look from a woman who so often seems to have inherited her grandmother the late queen's trait of looking elegantly poised at all times.
"Eugenie appears to show a desire to at worst hide or at least blend in here, with her cap brim pulled over her eyes and a facial expression that suggests she was bracing herself as she first stepped outside the coffee bar."
Eugenie was seen standing next to her husband who was pictured on the phone during the coffee break.
The body language expert continued: "Unsmiling and serious for most of these poses she then also seems to perform a lip clamp ritual to suggest a downbeat and even miserable form of resolve. She waits by her husband but then she also seems to walk behind him too as though trying to avoid being spotted as a famous royal couple.
"There is her signature grin right at the end but her overall body language mood projects something more bordering on glum."
In pictures published in the Mail, Eugenie is seen grabbing a coffee in full casual attire, consisting of a North Face cap, teal leggings, a black printed top, a navy jacket and a pair of black Nike trainers. Her husband was wrapped up warm in a colourful bobble beanie hat, a teal jacket, dark trousers and a pair of Nike trainers.
Andrew was arrested early on Thursday morning on suspicion of misconduct in public office and spent 11 hours in custody before being released under investigation.
It came after the latest revelations in the Jeffrey Epstein files released by the Department of Justice. Andrew has always denied wrongdoing in relation to the late convicted sex offender.
Eugenie has kept busy in recent weeks, just as more embarrassing revelations about her father's association with the convicted sex offender emerged.
Last week, she was spotted in Gstaad, Switzerland, alongside her husband, and two children, August and Ernest.
