Parts of the UK are likely to bask in much warmer conditions as the latest weather maps suggest temperatures jumping to 18C on Wednesday (February 24). It is even likely to be much warmer in the UK than it is in Greece, which is expected to reach around 12C during the same time.
WXcharts weather maps show several areas in England enjoying sunshine after a spell of rainy and windy conditions. According to the weather charts, areas around London, Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex, and the East Midlands could see temperatures soaring to 18C by 6pm on Wednesday. However, areas around Athens in Greece will see the highs of 12C, the weather maps have suggested.
According to the Met Office's weather map, almost whole of the UK is likely to experience temperatures in double digits. Areas around Aberdeen and Glasgow will see 10C and 11C respectively at 3pm on Wednesday, according to the map.
The Met Office's wewather forecast for Wednesday says: "Further spells of rain across Scotland, Northern Ireland, and parts of Wales and northern England. Elsewhere, early fog clearing leading to a very mild day with plenty of sunshine."
The weather experts suggest this warm air will surge up from mid Atlantic and the Bay of Biscay until fresher air interrupts from the northwest on Thursday night, and colder air arrives for Friday night with a frost.
Netweather.tv meteorologist Jo Farrow wrote in her latest weather blog: "Much of England and eastern Wales should start on Wednesday with fine weather and sunshine.

"It will feel very mild and the temperatures will climb. In the light SSW breeze, Greater London into Essex could see 18C on Wednesday.
"There will be some uncertainty further north and west around the waving frontal band. Eastern and northeastern Scotland could see some shelter in the flow from outbreaks of rain.
"SW Scotland, Northern Ireland, western and later north Wales, then Cumbria could all see showery outbreaks of rain from this frontal band on Wednesday.
"The rain and cloud cover will affect the temperatures but it will still be mild for all in the middle of the week."
