This is the reason why here on Holi, the wait for jackfruit is more than for Gujiya.
How different is jackfruit from jackfruit?
Many people consider the small size of jackfruit as jackfruit. But these two are quite different from each other. Like in jackfruit you find fibers inside, they remain there even after ripening. If we talk about jackfruit then it is very small. You can call it raw jackfruit. Due to it being raw, even fibers are not able to come out inside it.
That means it is fiberless. It is completely plain in appearance and its taste is like paneer or 'kaleji'. Even while making its vegetable, people cut it in square shape like paneer. People who do not want to eat non-veg on Holi can taste it.
