Filmmaker Vipul Shah’s The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond release was stayed by Kerala High Court on February 26, 2026, for 15 days.
However, the makers approached the court for an urgent hearing and now a division branch of the Kerala High Court has overturned the 15-day stay on the controversial movie.
The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond Release Cleared By Kerala HC Division BenchThe division bench comprising Justice Sushrut Arvind Dharmadhikari and Justice P.V. Balakrishnan passed the order after hearing the matter on February 27, 2026, overturning the stay release order by the single-judge Justice Bechu Kurian Thomas, a day earlier.
The hearing with the division branch lasted for two hours on Friday and announced the new verdict at 4 pm.
The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond New Release Date OutAccording to trade analyst Komal Nahta, The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond will now release in theatres on February 27, 2026, from the evening show onwards.
He wrote, “Stay on The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond release lifted by division bench of the Kerala high court. Film to release this evening (27th February).”
