Before Harry Brook could actually do some real damage to the New Zealand side, he damaged the LED screen of the Jumbotron, or the digital scoreboard near the C Lowe stand. Currently New Zealand is fighting for a semifinal spot against the already qualified England at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. While chasing, the English captain Brook smashed a six that caused partial damage to the LED screen.
This happened during the third over. Brook stepped aside and flicked his wrist against Matt Henry to send the ball soaring over the boundary and into the scoreboard. It bonked the screen, initially blacking out a major part of the upper corners but eventually leaving a small mark.

The shot was a highlight in a high-pressure chase where England had lost early wickets, including Phil Salt and Jos Buttler. Despite the explosive start, Brook was later dismissed for 26 off 24 balls by Glenn Phillips.
