New Delhi: A joint Israel-US strike on Sunday hit Gandhi Hospital in Iranian capital Tehran and caused massive damage. The video of the hospital has come to the fore showing extensive damage at the hospital. The bombing comes a day after the assassination of Iran Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Iranian authorities said hospital was hit in a “Zionist-American” air strikes, reported Iran’s ISNA news agency. Multiple reports from the Iranian news agencies Fars and Mizan also show video footages showing massive destruction inside the hospital with.
Eyewitnesses details heavy damage at hospital
Two eye witnesses informed news agency Reuters that the hospital at Gandhi street suffered heavy damage and patients were moved out for safety.

The US-Israeli attacks on Iran continued into Sunday night with different military and semi-government target being hit in airstrikes.
Israel, meanwhile, stated the attacks were mainly aimed at central parts of Iran’s capital city after it launched missiles and drones at Israel and US military bases in the Gulf region, including Saudi capital and Dubai.
New council formed to run Iran affairs
Following the killing of Khameni, Iran reportedly choose a 66-year old cleric to be a part of three member council to run the country until a new supreme leader is elected.
The council members includes President Masoud Pezeshkian, judiciary head Gholam Hossein Mohseni Ejehei and Ayatollah Ali Reza Arafi.
President Pezeshkian announced in an address on state television that the council has officially begun its functioning.
