All flight operations at Dubai International Airport, the world’s busiest airport for international travellers, and Dubai World Central, Al Maktoum International remain suspended “until further notice” as regional airspace closures triggered by escalating Middle East conflict continue to disrupt aviation services.
Authorities have not set a specific timeline for reopening, saying the situation is being closely monitored and safety assessments will determine when operations can resume.
The airport suspensions follow a series of strikes and counter-strikes across the region, including coordinated US–Israel attacks on Iranian targets and retaliatory actions, which have led multiple Gulf states to shut or restrict their skies as a precautionary measure.
No clarity on opening of the airport yet
Dubai Airports has reiterated that flights at both DXB and DWC will remain on hold until conditions improve and it is safe to reopen airspace. Passengers were told not to travel to the airports and to contact their airlines directly for the latest updates on flight status, cancellations, rebooking and refunds.

The official advisory gives no firm timeline for resumption of services, underscoring that reopening depends on regional security dynamics and clearances from aviation authorities. Until then, the closures will remain in place.
Over the past few hours, airports and carriers managed around 20,200 passengers. Authorities said integrated measures were implemented, including rerouting flights between airports, speeding up rescheduling and strengthening coordination at terminals to ease congestion and maintain safety.
Passengers have been advised to rely on official airline and airport channels for updates and to contact carriers directly for booking and schedule information. Officials said services will resume once security assessments permit the safe reopening of airspace.
