India and New Zealand will suffer loss due to cancellation of semi-final match
If both the semi-final matches of T20 World Cup 2026 are cancelled, then South Africa and England will benefit from it and both the teams will reach the finals, because both these teams are on top in both the groups of Super-8. South Africa is on top in Group-1 of Super-8. Whereas England is at the top of Group-2. Whereas New Zealand and India are second in their respective groups in Super-8. In such a situation, if the match is canceled due to rain, then New Zealand and Team India will suffer loss.
The first semi-final match between South Africa and New Zealand will be played on March 4 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
