Hyderabad: Telangana government has suspended four people after dogs attacked a dead body inside a mortuary at Government Area Hospital in Jadcherla, Mahabubnagar.
Health Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha ordered an inquiry into the incident. Following the minister’s orders, Medical Services Council Dr Ajay Kumar reached the hospital and collected statements from the victim’s family members, police officials, eye witnesses, doctors and hospital staff.
Four people including the hospital superintendent Dr Chandrakala, Duty RMO Dr Harinath, Duty Medical Officer Muneesha, mortuary supporting staff Ravi Prakash have been suspended for negligence in duty, after the mortuary was left unsecured.
Commissioner Ajay Kumar stated that strict action will be taken to ensure that such actions don’t recur in the future.
