action
- First, if the peanuts are raw, lightly roast them in coconut oil or a nonstick pan. Allow the roasted peanuts to cool. You can also roast groundnuts bought from the market.
- Add onion, tomato, cucumber and cilantro to a large bowl.
- Now add roasted peanuts, chaat masala, red chillies, black salt and sugar.
- Add lemon juice and tamarind chutney to taste and stir everything well.
- Serve the prepared chaat with some fresh coriander. It tastes better if you keep it in the fridge for a while and cool it down.
- If you want the chaat to be more crunchy, roast the peanuts a little harder.
- Instead of tamarind chutney, you can make a slightly creamy chaat by adding tangy-sour curd.
- You can also fry the peanuts in gram flour, this will make them extra crispy.
