Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was visited by the Lord Chamberlain of the Royal Household at his Sandringham home yesterday, it has been revealed. Richard Benyon, the most senior member of the household, spent around two hours visiting Andrew at Wood Farm on Monday afternoon, where Andrew has been holed up since his arrest last month.

The King is currently staying on the Sandringham Estate, arriving at his Norfolk residence on Friday, but has not popped in to see his brother despite being just a few miles away. The pair have not met since Andrew's arrest, and Charles does not plan on seeing him.

Though Andrew was formally stripped of his princely title and ousted from his lavish home on the Windsor Estate,he remains eighth in line to the throne.

As a result of his recent arrest and the string of allegations made against him in the Epstein files, the Government is considering legislative action to remove him from the line of succession.

But this could take years, as approval is required from each of the Commonwealth Realms.

Andrew was arrested on February 19, his 66th birthday, on suspicion of misconduct in public office. He has not publicly commented on the recent allegations but has vehemently denied previous allegations made against him.

Lord Benyon has served in the role since November 2024 and is also a Cross Bench Peer in the House of Lords. His role involves overseeing around 1,200 staff and liaising between the King and the House of Lords.

It is not known why the Lord Chamberlain visited Andrew. Buckingham Palace has declined to comment.

The former prince has received very few visitors since his arrest. Though on Saturday, Reverend Canon Paul Williams reportedly visited him.

The cleric was reportedly seen driving to Andrew's temporary home and "remained for around an hour" before leaving.

On Sunday, Mr Williams was seen accompanying the King to church.
