KSI has revealed that he is now an owner of non-league team Dagenham and Redbridge. The YouTuber-turned-musician-turned professional boxer, whose real name is Olajide Olayinka Williams Olatunji, has become a shareholder in the Daggers. The National League South side, who compete in the sixth tier of the English football league system, are two promotions away from the Football League.

KSI's investment comes hot on the heels of former England, Liverpool and Newcastle United forward Andy Carroll also becoming a shareholder. A die-hard Arsenal fan, KSI is a key figure in the UK YouTube scene. The 32-year-old boasts over 17 million subscribers and more than four billion views on his primary channel.

He is also a member of the YouTube supergroup, The Sidemen, who have transformed content creation on the platform with their high-quality videos, whilst also branching out into the real world with their own brands and hosting numerous YouTube charity matches.

In an Instagram post, he expressed: "I'm so excited to start this journey. It's gonna be a rollercoaster for sure but I hope to bring Dagenham and Redbridge back to the glory days. For those of you that are OG fans (Race to Division One), you'll know that this is a full circle moment for me.

"So join me on this exhilarating adventure and I'll see you all at Victoria road this Saturday! I'll be streaming too haha @daggersfcofficial."

During the video, he said: "I've done boxing, music, YouTube content, I've been around the world, I'm a man that does whatever he wants, you can never stop doing what you want. I'm going to buy Dagenham and Redbridge Football Club.

"The idea excites me so much. I saw the happiness, the joy, I want to bring that back and surpass it. I want the place to be pumping, be an event when you come here.

"Playing a video game and owning a football club is very different but with Race to Division One it was a journey but in the end I did it. With this club I want to do the unthinkable, I want to take Dagenham and Redbridge to the Premier League."

Prior to the announcement, it was revealed that Stephen Thompson MBE would be stepping down from his position as Managing Director and from the Board of Directors at the conclusion of March.

KSI has broken into the mainstream following his emergence on social media and achieved a number one album with All Over The Place in 2021, whilst also featuring on the card for sold-out boxing bouts against Tommy Fury and Logan Paul, and most recently serving as a judge on Britain's Got Talent. His groundbreaking beverage, Prime, revolutionised the hydration drinks sector alongside his former boxing rival, Paul.

The pair have subsequently secured sponsorship deals with KSI's cherished Arsenal, as well as European powerhouses including Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Benfica and Juventus.

Through this acquisition, he becomes one of several YouTubers, alongside Spencer Owen, involved in non-league football after Owen's Hashtag United climbed through the divisions to stand just one promotion away from the National League South.

The Daggers competed in the Football League as recently as 2016, enjoying a single campaign in League One following their playoff triumph in 2010, but have since dropped down the pyramid, being relegated from the National League to its southern tier, where they currently occupy 13th position and trail the playoffs by five points.
