Today the joy of Holi is spread across the country. This festival of colors is celebrated every year around the arrival of Chaitra month, when the effect of winter starts reducing and the weather starts changing. There is a traditional belief that the time after Makar Sankranti brings mental laziness, fatigue or sadness for many people. In such a situation, the celebration of Holi gives an opportunity to remove negativity from the mind through colors, music, dance and fellowship.

Colors have a deep connection with psychology

Experts believe that colors have a deep connection with psychology. Different colors affect mood and can be helpful in reducing stress. The fragrance of gulal, the beat of the drum and hugs from loved ones reduce the bitterness in relationships. This is why Holi is called not only a religious festival but also a festival of social unity and mental energy.

According to religious calendars, morning time is considered auspicious for playing with colors. There is a popular belief that at the beginning of the day the environment is relatively pure and full of positive energy. Therefore, most of the people start the colors around 8 am in the morning and consider it appropriate to end the celebration till 12 noon or 1 pm. Excessive noise or playing with colors for a long time in the afternoon is not considered in accordance with tradition. That is why it is advisable to celebrate Holi enthusiastically in the morning and carry on the day peacefully.

What is the significance of Holi colors in astrology?
