Dubai has been rocked by another explosion as Iranian missiles continue to rain down on the UAE. The US consulate grounds in Dubai were struck late Tuesday night by a suspected Iranian drone.

Footage from the scene shows an explosion followed by flames with thick smoke billowing from a building next to the US consulate in Dubai. Dubai authorities have confirmed that loud sounds heard across parts of the emirate were the result of successful air defence interceptions. In a statement, the Dubai Media Office said the competent authorities are continuing to monitor the situation and take necessary measures to ensure public safety, urging residents to rely on official sources for information.

Closures of airspace over large parts of the region have now continued into their fifth day. Qatar Airways announced that flights will remain grounded until at least Friday whilst Virgin Atlantic has resumed operations out of the UAE.
