Si King has hinted that "something very special" is in the pipeline after reuniting with the Hairy Bikers team. The star, 59, has had an impressive TV career over the years as he has featured in more than 30 series of the much-loved series with the lateDave Myers.
Their last show together aired in early 2024, before Dave's tragic death but now Si is making a return to our TV screens. The television chef took to social media to share the exciting career update as he shared a number of posts revealing he was working on a new project with the same crew who assisted in producing several series he did with Dave.
In the first post, Si shared a video explanation, in which he said: "We're letting you in to something a little bit special, so we have started filming but we can't tell you what for just yet, but this is the team that filmed all the Hairy Bikers stuff that Dave and I [did], went around the world with us many times."
The video was then flipped around where Si panned the camera across the room showing all of the crew with filming equipment. Alongside the clip, he wrote: "Something very exciting is coming and I've pulled The Hairy Bikers crew back together for something special.
"I'm not giving too much away just yet. All will be revealed very soon so make sure you are following this account and of course my Si King page for all of the updates. Kingy."
As fans speculated about what the news could entail, they flooded the comments section with sweet reactions to the news. One fan wrote: "Whoah!!! Cannot WAIT to see this!!! Dave is so proud of you and I bet you can feel it!!! Congratulations!."
Another commented: "Whatever it is, I'll be watching. Sounds exciting." A third said: "So glad to hear that, sounds exciting!!!. Looking forward to it."
One echoed: "Si sounds amazing, can't wait to watch it." One excited fan said: "Great to hear it coming back!"
Eager to find out more about the secret project, one fan joked: "You can tell me, I won't breathe a word." Meanwhile another added: "You are the reason I cook, thank you."
The news comes just days after Si marked the two year anniversary of Dave's death with many fans paying their respect.
Si took to social media to pay tribute to his co-star and good friend, writing: "Sometimes words just don't come easily. 2 years today and not a day goes by when you aren't in my thoughts. Miss you mate."
He continued: "I'm going to be posting some of my favourite pictures throughout the day and I hope they make you smile. Please take a moment to remember Dave today and what he meant to you."
The star added: "I see so many lovely comments on here of all of the special moments that he shared with so many of you and just how much those moments meant for you. Thank you so much for sharing them with me, everyone."
