Dubai has been rocked by another explosion as Iranian missiles continue to rain down on the UAE. Iran has issued fresh warnings that it could strike "all economic centres" across the Middle East if US and Israeli attacks continue, raising fears global financial hubs such as Dubai could be further targeted. The threat came from Islamic Revolutionary Guard commander Ebrahim Jabbari, as tensions continue to escalate across the region.
The US consulate grounds in Dubai were struck late Tuesday night by a suspected Iranian drone. Footage from the scene shows an explosion followed by flames with thick smoke billowing from a building next to the US consulate in Dubai. Dubai authorities have confirmed that loud sounds heard across parts of the emirate were the result of successful air defence interceptions. Closures of airspace over large parts of the region have now continued into their fifth day. Qatar Airways announced that flights will remain grounded until at least Friday whilst Virgin Atlantic has resumed operations out of the UAE.
