MacBook Air M5 has been launched in India in two variants namely 13-inch screen and 15-inch screen. The base model of the device with a 13-inch screen starts at Rs 1,19,900. The 15-inch variant is priced at Rs 1,44,900. The company has launched the new MacBook Air (2026) in Sky Blue, Midnight, Starlight and Silver color options. Apple’s 2026 edition MacBook Air has been launched with the M5 chip, which has a 10-core CPU and a 10-core GPU with a neural accelerator in each core. The company claims that the new M5 model offers 4x faster performance for AI tasks compared to the MacBook Air. It is also advertised to deliver 9.5 times faster performance than the MacBook Air with the M1 chip.

The new model features Shader Core and a third-generation ray-tracing engine for gaming and 3D rendering. The M5 chip also features unified memory with 153GB/s bandwidth. The company claims that web browsing is up to 50 percent faster on the MacBook Air with the M5 compared to a PC laptop with an Intel Core Ultra X7 processor. The MacBook Air with the M5 has 512GB of storage as standard. This laptop comes with macOS Tahoe and offers Apple Intelligence capabilities.
