AI romance hits Netflix

Boyfriend on Demand explores AI apps simulating the “perfect boyfriend” in a world of digital dating. The 10-episode series questions if technology can mimic true emotional bonds, blending playful romance with modern trends like algorithmic matches. All episodes premiere on Netflix on March 6.

Stars eye Bollywood crossover

In an exclusive India Today interview, Jisoo and Seo In-guk showed excitement for a Bollywood AI romance project. Seo In-guk said, “If I’m given the opportunity, I would absolutely love to do it”. Jisoo laughed, adding, “I hope you can, you know, please look out for us. We’ll be there”. Their dance skills make them ideal for song-and-dance numbers, thrilling Indian K-pop fans.

Ideal types and green flags

Jisoo loves humour in partners: “I think I like someone who can make me laugh a lot. I have a rather unique sense of humour, so if someone can make me laugh, that in itself is a huge merit”. Seo In-guk values compatibility: “I hope our personalities match well… we can have a positive mindset where we try to adjust and grow together”. For green flags, Jisoo noted flowing talks and eye contact: “When you’re talking and the conversation flows well, and your eyes meet often”. Seo In-guk agreed: “If your eyes keep meeting… that’s 100 per cent something”.

 On-set chemistry revealed

Initial impressions shifted during filming. Jisoo thought Seo In-guk seemed “a bit cold” with his “fox-like features,” but found him “very considerate, kind”, and the “king of romance”. Seo In-guk called Jisoo “very lovable” and hilarious: “She’s incredibly funny. On set… she never lost her sense of humour and always lifted the mood” despite exhaustion from promotions. He added, “I felt she’s someone with a very big heart”.

This drama taps into AI’s rise in dating and life, sparking timely debates on real vs. virtual love.
