Axar Patel Catch Video: In the high-voltage semi-final of the T20 World Cup being played at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, a moment was seen which changed the direction of the match. This moment was of the brilliant catch by Indian all-rounder Akshar Patel, which ended the innings of England captain Harry Brook. This wicket proved to be very important for Team India at the crucial time of England’s innings and turned the match towards India.
Brook trapped on Bumrah’s slower ball
During England’s innings, when captain Harry Brook was trying to stay at the crease, Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav handed the ball to Jasprit Bumrah. Bumrah, showing his cleverness, dodged Brook with a slower ball. Brook tried to play a big shot by moving away from the crease, but the ball hit the upper part of the bat and rose very high towards the covers.
Initially it seemed that the ball would fall into the empty space and Brook would get a lease of life, but Axar Patel ended that possibility with his brilliant athletic effort. He quickly ran backwards, kept his eyes on the ball and dived at the right time to take the catch safely. Seeing this amazing catch of Akshar, the whole stadium jumped with excitement. Brook returned to the pavilion after scoring 7 runs in 6 balls and this wicket proved to be a big blow for England.
