LPG Cylinder Price Hike: Amid the ongoing war in the Middle East, the prices of commercial and domestic LPG gas cylinders have been increased. ANI quoted sources as saying that the price of 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder has increased by Rs 60. After this, the price of domestic cylinder in Delhi has increased from Rs 853 to Rs 913.

Along with this, the price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder has also been increased by Rs 115. According to sources, now the price of 19 kg commercial cylinder has become Rs 1883 in Delhi and Rs 1835 in Mumbai. The new prices of gas have been implemented from today.

Instructions to LPG refineries to increase production

Meanwhile, the government has instructed all LPG refineries to increase production. These include both government and private refineries. In fact, due to the increasing tension between Iran and Israel, the Indian government is constantly monitoring the situation in the Middle East.

Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri has also said that despite the current geopolitical instability, India will not face energy shortage. He had given this statement on the concerns being raised regarding possible interruptions in the supply of crude oil.

Adequate reserves of petroleum products exist

According to government sources, India currently has adequate reserves of gas and other petroleum products. The country has adequate stocks of crude oil, petrol, diesel and LPG and oil companies are also importing from countries outside the Gulf region to deal with any possible disruption in supply.

It is noteworthy that after the war, there have been reports of the movement of ships being affected through the Strait of Hormuz, due to which there is a possibility of disruption in the supply of crude oil. The government says that developments in the area are being continuously monitored.
