Rajesh Ranjan has raised a new political issue in the politics of Bihar. He claimed that in the coming time, President’s rule can be imposed in Bihar and after this, a plan can be worked out to create a new Union Territory by merging Seemanchal region and some districts of West Bengal.

Patna: Purnia MP Pappu Yadav has recently created a new political controversy in Bihar politics. Pappu Yadav has claimed that President’s rule can be imposed in Bihar in the coming time and after this, work is underway on a plan to create a new Union Territory by merging Seemanchal region and some districts of West Bengal. His statement has created a stir in political circles and opposition parties have immediately raised questions about it.

Pappu Yadav’s allegation

Pappu Yadav posted on social media platform After this, by passing a resolution in the Bihar Assembly, a new administrative structure can be created by connecting the Seemanchal area with some districts of West Bengal.

He alleged that under this big strategy, discussions are also going on about change of power and administrative reshuffle in Bihar. According to Pappu Yadav, BJP is going to play the game of creating a Union Territory by merging Seemanchal and districts like Malda, Murshidabad, Raiganj, Dinajpur. He also said that this is the strategy behind removing Nitish Kumar and appointing a Lieutenant General level Governor in the state.

Reference to RJD MLA’s statement

Before Pappu Yadav’s allegations, Ranvijay Sahu had also made similar allegations in the session of Bihar Legislature. His statements came at a time when Union Home Minister Amit Shah was on a three-day visit to the Seemanchal region of Bihar. After this visit, opposition parties started alleging that political discussions were going on to create a new administrative structure by merging parts of Seemanchal and West Bengal.

Political experts say that such statements are often made for election strategy and to create political pressure. The social and political equations in Seemanchal and the surrounding region are complex, where ethnic, religious and regional equations hold considerable influence. Pappu Yadav’s statement has come at a time when there are indications of change in the post of Chief Minister in Bihar and discussions are going on about changing the power equation in the Assembly.

However, no evidence of any such plan has yet emerged from the central government or in any official document. At present this entire matter is being considered limited to political rhetoric only.
