Britain's Got Talent's Alesha Dixon was left injured after diving across the table to stop her fellow judge Simon Cowell hitting the golden buzzer and breaking the show rules of having a second act.An impressive act appeared on stage which was branded "incredibly creative" by viewers, but at the end of the performance a pop-up appeared on screen saying "insert coin or press golden buzzer". As Alesha began to question it, Simon stood up and started walking over to it, prompting Alesha to dive on the buzzer and fall into Amanda Holden's lap, even breaking her microphone.

As it emerged that they'd landed Alesha's golden buzzer, a baffled Simon fumed that he wanted to see the footage because he believed his pinky had got there before Alesha dived on the buzzer. Watching it back, they saw that Alesha did firmly get the act, but it came at a price.

Speaking before the show launched, Alesha previously said: "I injured myself trying to stop Simon pressing the Golden Buzzer," The Mirror reported. She admitted that she was being competitive and wanted to prevent her "irritating" colleague from claiming it after he tried to break the rules to get a second act.

She had told Daily Mail: "Simon had been winding me up so much and we were having back-and-forth banter, he was on one, and I saw him go to press it and thought, he ain't having it! I dived on it, broke Amanda's microphone, and hit my hand! It is definitely the most physical golden buzzer I've ever done on the show!"

Simon had already used his Golden Buzzer for Paul Nunnari after the Australian aerial skills performer got the first pass to the live shows after showing off his skills while he was in his wheelchair. The judge had said he wsan't typically a fan of aerial skills but enjoyed his performance so much he immediately pressed the golden buzzer.

The judges are only able to use the golden buzzer one time each, despite Simon trying to bend the rules this series, and the recipient will go straight through to the live semi-finals.

Typically, Ant and Dec also get a golden buzzer act too, and the audience can give one as well, resulting in six total.
