Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav on Saturday, late of Ujjain. Performed the bhoomi pujan of the construction work of international level synthetic hockey turf and pavilion spectator gallery at Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Sports Complex, Nanakheda Stadium at a cost of Rs 48.71 crore. Under this project, modern sports facilities will be developed in the stadium, which will provide the players of Ujjain an opportunity for better training and practice.
National and international level players will be prepared from Ujjain
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that by the grace of Lord Shri Mahakaleshwar and Shri Gopal Krishna, the players of Ujjain and the entire state are going to get a big gift. He said that continuous development work is being done in the sports complex, so that the players can get modern facilities. He said that the state government is giving priority to the development of sports infrastructure in the state. New stadiums, sports complexes and training facilities are being developed in various districts.
The aim of the government is to provide better facilities to the players, so that they can hone their talent. After the completion of this project, Ujjain will gradually move towards becoming a major center of sports activities (sports hub). This will increase the chances of producing national and international level players in future.
Rapidly developing sports infrastructure in Ujjain
The Chief Minister said that Late. Seeing Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Sports Complex, Nanakheda Stadium reminds one of the modern and comfortable stadiums built abroad. He told that earlier hockey players from many cities of the country used to come and perform at Kshir Sagar Stadium. But now as per international standards, there was a need for synthetic hockey turf, which will be completed soon. The construction of this new facility will also promote other sports including hockey in Ujjain and the players will get a better platform.
Target to hold 2030 Commonwealth Games matches in Ujjain
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the government will try to organize some international matches of the Commonwealth Games to be held in the year 2030 in this stadium. He said that the state government has resolved to provide well-equipped and modern stadiums to the talented players to showcase their skills. Continuous work is being done in this direction, so that the players of the state can make their mark at the national and international level.
