All England Championship Final: Will Lakshya Sen end 25 years of drought? You will get this much money if you win the final

Lakshya Sen vs Lin Chun-Yi, All England Championship Final: Lakshya Sen, the rising star of Indian badminton, has once again proved his talent to the world. Lakshya has made it to the finals of men's singles in the All England Open 2026 (BWF Super 1000) going on in England. This is his second time reaching the final in this tournament, where he was the runner-up in 2022. Lakshya will face Lin Chun-Yi of Chinese Taipei in the final. This match will be played on 8 March 2026 at 5:20 pm Indian time. This match will be held at the Utility Arena in Birmingham.

Lakshya Sen has a chance to create history

This match is going to be very special for Lakshya Sen. Victory in the final match will include him in the list of greats. Till now only 2 Indians have been able to win the All England Open Men's Singles title. In 1980, Prakash Padukone and in 2001 Pullela Gopichand had won the title of this tournament. If Lakshya Sen wins the final, he will be only the third Indian. This will also end India's 25-year drought. Since 2001, no Indian has become the champion of All England Open Men's Singles.

The special thing is that Lakshya Sen is only the second Indian who is going to play the final match of All England Open for the second time. Earlier, Prakash Padukone had done this feat. At the same time, Lakshya Sen achieved this feat by defeating Victor Lai of Canada in a tough match that lasted 3 games in the semi-finals of Men's Singles. In the semi-final match, Lakshya took the lead by winning the first game 21-16. But in the second game, Victor also made a comeback and won 21-18. After this, Lakshya Sen showed amazing performance in the third game and entered the final by winning 21-15.

How much money will you get if you win the final?

Lakshya Sen not only has a chance to create history by winning the final, but a big prize money is also at stake. The champion of All England Open Singles will get 101,500 US dollars i.e. approximately 93 lakh Indian rupees as prize money. At the same time, the player who loses the final will also be given approximately Rs 45 lakh.
