Mousse has always been one of those desserts that feels decadent and indulgent, yet it's surprisingly simple to make. Traditionally, made by whipping air into a base like chocolate, there are many recipes online to follow. Recently, a two-ingredient mousse recipe has been taking over TikTok.
It requires no fancy equipment or complicated steps, and has been praised on the social media app by hundreds of users. All you need to make it is a tin of peaches along with a bar of dark chocolate.
The chocolate mousse recipe involves blending tinned peaches and chocolate, and has been shared by a number of people, including former The Great British Bake Off star, Briony May.
She said she was "pretty sceptical" before attempting the recipe, but decided to give it a go.
She explained: "Apparently, if you blend peaches with melted chocolate and then refrigerate them for a few hours, you've got a really tasty snack.
"This one's gone viral, and I want to know if it tastes good because I just, I just don't believe it."
She first drained a tin of peaches and popped them into her blender, then added 100g of melted dark chocolate.
The TV star blended the two ingredients, then poured them into a container lined with greaseproof paper.
Next, she popped it into the fridge, where it sat overnight. The following day, Briony took the mousse out of the fridge to taste it, and she said it was "quite soft" and mousse-like.
She took a spoonful of the pudding and said: "That's a bit alright. That's nice. I'm on board. I like it. That is delish."
Users took to the comments, sharing their results as they made the pudding. One user said: "I made this and it was so silky."
Another commented: "This was so much nicer than supermarket mousse's and I love it."
