Ingredients needed to make compost from flowers
– Flowers used in puja
– Dry leaves and kitchen waste like vegetable peels, leaves etc.
– Soil
– Pot, matka or bucket (choose a pot which has holes in the bottom).
Method of making compost from flowers
-First of all, put a layer of soil in the pot. Next, add some soil so that the liquid released from the flowers can be absorbed.
– Then, put flowers in this soil and press them. Keep in mind that if there is thread or garland attached to the flowers, then remove it.
– Next, add kitchen waste and dry leaves. This makes the compost more rich in nutrients.
Then, add layers of kitchen waste alternating with soil and flowers. Repeat this process two-three times.
– It is necessary to maintain the balance of air and moisture in this mixture. Cover the container lightly, but do not close it completely. Keep stirring it every 4-5 days and sprinkle light water if needed.
compost preparation time
In about two months, this mixture will completely dry out and turn into natural compost ready for plants. This manure increases the fertility of the soil and helps in the growth of plants.
