1. **Tier 1 Exam:** Candidates will face 200 multiple-choice questions covering general knowledge, reasoning, logical ability, and their selected engineering discipline. Each correct answer earns 1 mark, while incorrect answers incur a penalty of 0.25 marks. The exam duration is set at 2 hours.


2. **Tier 2 Exam:** This stage focuses exclusively on the candidate's chosen core engineering subject, consisting of 100 questions. Correct answers yield 3 marks, and incorrect ones result in a deduction of 1 mark. The duration for this exam is also 2 hours.


3. **Document Verification and Medical Examination:** Candidates who pass both Tier 1 and Tier 2 will proceed to document verification, where they must present original certificates. This is followed by a medical examination to confirm they meet the health criteria established by the department.

Candidates who successfully complete the Tier 1 exam will qualify for the Tier 2 exam, which assesses their technical knowledge in their selected engineering field. The exam lasts for 2 hours.


In Tier 2, candidates must select one paper from Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, depending on their specialization. Each paper consists of 100 questions and is worth a total of 300 marks.
