Mosquitoes are not just a small nuisance, but they can also become a big threat to our health. During summer and rainy season, their number suddenly increases, due to which it becomes difficult to sit or sleep peacefully even inside the house. The buzzing and frequent bites of mosquitoes while sleeping at night spoils the sleep, and sometimes red rashes and itching also start appearing on the skin. Not only this, mosquitoes can also cause the spread of serious diseases like dengue, malaria and chikungunya, hence it becomes very important to protect against them.

Often people use coils, sprays or liquid repellents available in the market to protect themselves from mosquitoes. These products provide immediate relief, but the chemicals present in them can be harmful to health if used for a long time. Especially for small children, elderly and people suffering from allergies. In such a situation, let us tell you how to make mosquito repellent at home with natural ingredients.

1. Mosquito repellent made from neem and coconut oil

Mosquito repellent can also be made from neem and nyril oil. Actually, natural anti-bacterial and insect repellent properties are found in Neem. In such a situation, they are very effective in driving away mosquitoes. It is also quite easy to make. All you have to do is take neem oil and coconut oil in equal quantities. Mix these two. Now fill it in a bottle. Before sleeping at night, apply this mixture lightly on hands, feet and open areas. Its fragrance helps in preventing mosquitoes from coming near and it is also considered safe for the skin.

2. Repellent with camphor and coconut oil

Mosquitoes do not like the strong smell of camphor at all, hence it can also be used as a natural repellent. For this, take some coconut oil in a bowl and add some pieces of camphor in it and mix it well. You can keep this mixture in the room or apply it lightly on the body. As soon as its aroma spreads in the room, mosquitoes start staying away and the atmosphere also feels fresh.

3. Garlic Spray Repellent

The smell of garlic is also considered helpful in keeping mosquitoes away. For this, grind 4 to 5 garlic cloves and boil them in water and after it cools down, filter the water and fill it in a spray bottle. This spray can be sprinkled in the corners of the house, near windows or doors. Its smell prevents mosquitoes from coming near and their number starts reducing in the house.
