Now, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Secretary Devajit Saikia has shared a major update regarding the schedule. He revealed the exact date the schedule will be released. He also revealed a major twist.

Speaking to news agency IANS, the BCCI secretary said, "We are planning to release the IPL 2026 schedule by March 12. For now, we will release the schedule for the first 20 days."

Earlier reports suggested that the schedule would be released in two phases. It was reported that the IPL Governing Council had cleared the schedule for the first half. However, for now, only the schedule for the first 20 days will be released.

It's worth noting that the delay in releasing the IPL schedule is due to the elections. The schedule will be released in different phases due to the elections.
