The second series of Netflix's highly praised live-action adaptation of a cherished manga franchise has arrived at last.
New episodes of One Piece are now available to watch as of today (March 10).
The latest instalments adapt multiple story arcs from the original manga which had previously been transformed into a successful anime.
The first series of the live-action rendition launched exclusively on the platform in August 2023. The second series carries the subtitle Into The Grand Line,
Fans have been keenly anticipating the next chapter of the Straw Hat crew's exploits. Inspired by Eiichiro Oda's Japanese manga series, One Piece chronicles Monkey D. Luffy's voyage to discover the mythical treasure, the One Piece, in his mission to become King of the Pirates, reports the Mirror.
Every member of the Straw Hats crew makes a comeback for the live-action programme's second run. They are headed by Iñaki Godoy as Monkey D.
Luffy, a youthful pirate granted stretching abilities after consuming a Devil Fruit during childhood.
His ultimate ambition is to locate the One Piece and claim the title of next King of the Pirates. The Mexican performer Godoy has formerly featured in Netflix's The Imperfects.
Emily Rudd likewise reprises her role as Nami, a skilled thief and master navigator. Rudd has previously featured in Fear Street Parts Two and Three alongside thriller programme Hunters.
Mackenyu takes on the role of swordsman Roronoa Zoro, a former bounty hunter who becomes Luffy's first mate shortly after their initial meeting. He is constantly training to become the world's top swordsman.
Mackenyu has previously featured in Pacific Rim Uprising and recently lent his voice to Gennojo in the game Assassin's Creed Shadows.
Jacob Romero Gibson portrays Usopp, a master raconteur and the estranged son of a notorious pirate. His ambition is to become a courageous warrior of the sea.
He has also made appearances in episodes of Grey's Anatomy and The Resident.
Taz Skylar reprises his role as Sanji, the culinary maestro and martial artist who only fights using his legs to safeguard his hands for cooking. He is on a quest for the All Blue, a legendary junction of the Four Seas.
Spanish-British actor Skylar, is also recognised for his roles in Boiling Point and The Lazarus Project.
The latest addition to the Straw Hats for Season 2 is Tony Tony Chopper. They are a reindeer who, after consuming a Devil Fruit, gains the ability to walk and talk like humans and also studies medicine.
Providing the voice for Chopper is Mikaela Vacuum, known for her portrayal of Cat Grant in 2025's Superman and she'll also feature in the new season of Beef on Netflix.
Beyond the main crew, they face several familiar foes in pursuit. This includes Koby, the former cabin boy of the Alvida Pirates whom Luffey rescued in the opening episode.
He has since joined the Marines and is now tracking down his former companion. He is once again portrayed by Morgan Davies, whose recent work includes Evil Dead Rise.
Marine Vice Admiral Garp is also pursuing the Straw Hats. He was additionally revealed during season one to be Luffey's estranged grandfather.
He's portrayed by Welsh actor Vincent Regan, whose credits include Shetland, House of the Dragon, The Bay and Poldark amongst others.
Also confirmed to return is Jeff Ward as Buggy the Clown, the circus-themed captain of the Buggy Pirates. Buggy possesses the power to separate his body into pieces and control each part remotely.
Like Luffey, his distinctive ability stems from consuming a Devil Fruit. Ward has previously featured in Hacks and Agents of Shield.
Who are in the Baroque Works?
These aren't the only threats our heroes must contend with though. A completely new faction is introduced and wreaking havoc on the Grand Line.
Specifically, a mysterious group of assassins who identify themselves as Baroque Works.
Their leader is the enigmatic Mr. O, portrayed by Joe Manganiello. The actor is readily recognisable for his roles in True Blood and his uncredited appearance as Deathstroke in Zac Snyder's Justice League.
Bridgerton's Charithra Chandran is also part of the ensemble, portraying Miss Wednesday whilst harbouring her own motives. Her counterpart is Mr 9, enacted by Raised by Wolves actor Daniel Lasker.
David Dastmalchian features as Mr. 3, characterised as the "creepy artist serial killer of Baroque Works."
Dastmalchian's previous roles span Oppenheimer, Ant-Man, The Suicide Squad and Late Night With The Devil.
The OA's Camrus Johnson takes on the role of Mr 5, whilst Lioness star Jazzara Jaslyn embodies Miss Valentine. They are accompanied by Exterritorial's Lera Abova as Miss All Sunday and Sophia Anne Caruso from The School for Good and Evil as Miss Goldenweek.
