Chaitra Navratri 2026 Kalash installation method: : Every year Navratri starts from the Pratipada date of Shukla Paksha of Chaitra month. It is called Chaitra Navratri. Method of Kalashsthapana on the first day of Navratri (Chaitra Navratri Kalash installation method)

• On the first day of Navratri, the worship of Maa Durga is started by setting up the Kalash.
• To establish the Kalash, first keep a post in the temple of the house or at some clean place.
• Then spread red or yellow chunari on it. After this, put soil in a vessel and sow barley in it.
• Then take a copper or clay pot. Fill water in the Kalash and add rice, betel nut etc. in it.
• Then place mango leaves on the mouth of the Kalash.
• After this, wrap the coconut in a red cloth and place it on top of the Kalash.
• After this, meditate and worship Goddess Durga by lighting lamps and incense.

It is believed that installing the Kalash in the right manner brings happiness and prosperity in the house.

Chaitra Navratri Kalash installation auspicious time (Chaitra Navratri 2026 Kalash Sthapna Muhurat)

According to Drik Panchang, on the day of Navratri, the auspicious time of Ghatasthapana will start from 06.52 am. This auspicious time will be till 07:53. Ghatasthapana can also be done on this day in Abhijeet Muhurta. This Muhurta will start at 12:05 pm and will last till 12:53 pm.
