Tennis icon Eugenie Bouchard has landed a broadcasting role following her retirement from the sport last year. The 32-year-old hung up her racket in July 2025 after choosing to bow out at the National Bank Open in her hometown of Montreal.
The Canadian ace rose to fame during her incredible breakout year in 2014. She finished runner-up at Wimbledon, becoming the first player to represent the country in a Grand Slam final and also reached the semi-finals of the Australian Open and French Open. Bouchard peaked at No. 5 in the world rankings but subsequently struggled to replicate her early success, consistently hampered by injuries. Several months after her retirement, Bouchard has returned to tennis, having started a new job as an analyst.
The former Wimbledon finalist has been part of the Tennis Channel's broadcast team at Indian Wells. The prestigious tournament comes to a close on Sunday, with Aryna Sabalenka and Elena Rybakina set to duel for the women's singles title.
On Instagram, Bouchard shared behind-the-scenes snaps of herself on set while also delighting in seeing herself on TV as a pundit. The collection of photos also included shots of her posing with a microphone and interacting with colleagues on air.

In her caption, Bouchard joked: "Risky of them to give me a mic." It is not the first time that Bouchard has worked as an analyst, having previously been a pundit when recovering from surgery in 2021.
The former world No.5 was all smiles in her post and appears to be relishing her new role. In a follow-up, after sharing childhood clips of her failing to hit the ball, Bouchard said: "This is who ur asking to commentate on tennis," alongside a crying emoji.
While Bouchard has retired from tennis, she continues to demonstrate her skills in a different racket sport. She is currently ranked eighth as a singles player on the Professional Pickleball Association Tour.
However, Bouchard's immediate focus will be on delivering insight at Indian Wells. Both Sabalenka and Rybakina have already booked their places in the women's final. Meanwhile, Jannick Sinner faces Alexander Zverev and Carlos Alcaraz will battle Daniil Medvedev in the men's semi-finals on Saturday evening.
